The Location section records where your wine's grapes come from. It sits just below Details in the e-label form, and every field in it is optional — fill in only the ones that apply to your wine.
Add your wine's location
- Open the e-label and click Edit (or start a new e-label).
- Scroll down to Location, or click Location in the menu beside the form.
- Fill in the fields that apply:
- Country — the country your wine's grapes come from. Click the field and start typing to search the list.
- Region — the main region the grapes came from, for example Burgundy.
- Sub-region — a more specific zone within the region, for example Côte de Nuits.
- Appellation — the legally defined designation, for example Gevrey-Chambertin.
- Classification — an official rank or category, if your wine has one. For example Premier Cru or Grand Cru in Burgundy, Reserva in Spain, or Spätlese in Germany.
- Click Save changes.
How it appears on your e-label
Your wine's location is shown directly below the wine's name:
- Classification and appellation on one line, joined by a dash — for example, Premier Cru - Gevrey-Chambertin.
- Sub-region and region on the next line, beside a location pin — for example, Côte de Nuits, Burgundy.
- Country, with its flag.
Any field you leave blank is simply left out.
Languages
The country name is translated automatically into whichever language the reader views your e-label in.
Region, sub-region, appellation, and classification are shown exactly as you type them, in every language. Use the official name — for example, the appellation as it's written on your bottle.
Duplicating a label
When you duplicate a label, Location is one of the sections you can copy. It's ticked by default, so the new label starts with the same location — untick it if the new wine comes from somewhere else.
